Last night turned out to be great conditions for imaging the night sky. Two nights in two weeks!

Here is my image of the Crescent Nebula, in the constellation Cygnus. Located 5000 light years from Earth, this nebula formed when a star ejected a ton of mass when it transformed into a red giant.

Very nice shot. Good resolution, nice color, and perfectly round stars. Nicely done.

Thanks! And yes, indeed! I am routinely impressed how it does. I also like how they release updates to the software at a great pace. It tells me they are constantly working on improving the performance of the software.
