Crested Caracara - AKA Mexican Eagle

never photographed this bird before. from some more research I found this to be somewhat limited range on these birds in the US, a small spot is found in Florida around where I photographed this one. Wish I had more time to get better photos.

Very cool! There was one sighted in NJ over the winter, I keep hoping they migrate North. How big are they? Bald Eagle size or smaller?

Nice shots. I have been going to southern Florida for about three years now and have yet to see one, yet I know that they are around. On little nit pick - in the second one, you have cropped his feet off and part of the tail. Images without these cropped are always better.
