Due to a limited budget i am only working in Iphoto right now. Upsetting i know. Why is it that i can zoom in 20x perfectly clear, but when i do a crop that zooms in much less it is out of focus. thanks.
Cropping makes the image smaller overall, but it doesn't change the pixel dimensions of a given object in the shot. I'm not sure what it is you're seeing or having a problem with.
Are you cropping super small and then trying to print large? That could cause the photo to be all pixel-y and therefore look out of focus. For example cropping a photo to 3x5 but trying to get it to a 8x10 photo on a lower pixel camera can cause this problem. Additionally if you are cropping but not keeping in the original dimensions (example cropping in a square shape and printing in a rectangle shape of 8x10) can cause these problems. Not sure if you are doing these.. hopes this helps
