Cross-processing in Photoshop?

Is there a way of simulating the look of a cross-processed film in Photoshop?

By cross-processing, I assume you mean processing slide film in C-41 chemistry?

I'd try messing around with color replacement, hue and saturation layers, and maybe the solarize filter. The results from cross-processing are so unpredictable (in my limited experience) that it wouldn't be easy to make a plug-in, etc that would accurately reproduce it.
