Hi folks,
I am new to this forum. I have just downloaded CZM. I have a question that I couldnt find covered in any of the FAQ's.
When stacking files, I have read that they must be 8 bit. What I need to know is can I load Raw files converted to 8 bit or do the files need to be jpg's|tiff's? Also is there a limit on file size as several files are going to be a big ask. Many thanks KK

Why don't you take 30 seconds, convert a RAW file to 8-bit and test this out yourself?

I bet you would have had the answer to that loooong by now. ;)

Oh, welcome to TPF. :D

Jerry, Thanks for the reply. You really didnt answer my question . I had already loaded a single 8 bit raw file, but at the moment I do not have more than one shot to do a test run. What I probably should have asked is : is there a preferential system of loading files in any particular format and is there a file size limit or "best size" for stacking, and which file type would give the best results. Again many thanks, kk.
