D3000 got rained on - a write-off?

Hey . . . I've also seen this thread about the mirror getting stuck.

But this sounds like taking the bottom off the camera, which is at least a lot less intimidating than taking the back or top plate off a camera.

here's a couple of references of taking the bottom plate off the camera and move some gears (or spraying some WD40 in there).

Again. Up to you whether its worth the shot or if the $200 sounds tempting. <grin>

Lol - make sure you make it clear that it is a damaged/parts camera if you do that.

I would hate to buy what I thought was a lightly used body only to open a water-logged box. :lol:
