D5100 used?

Local pawn shop has a D5100 with the 18-55 lense on it for $175. Was thinking about getting it as a backup for my D3200. I will have to take a battery in to see if it functions ok. Any thoughts on if it is a decent buy or not?

I just looked here Used Inventory | Pro Photo Supply and they have the same offer, a d5100 and 18-55, but at $195. Their prices are very good on used gear; much lower than The Big Five price their used stuff at.

i have one , my 1st camera, i still think it a fine camera. keep it on auto by door for those fast shots and teaching grand kids to use it, al

Strange that it has no battery.
