D600 Winners

Have any of you seen this National Geographic contest? Five lucky entrants won a D600 to complete their stories. A grand prize winner will be selected at the end of January. All the photos are excellent, & all the stories are intriguing.

It's difficult to find a "best" one, probably why they chose 5. But the Firefighters in Detroit is amazing. How do you get "lucky" enough to be there to catch that shot?

The interesting thing is the photos don't all look that amazing, esp. the boxing one. It's more the concept that they're pitching...

Perhaps very few people entered, so they picked from among the few entrees.

I personally only think 2-3 of the photos were decent.
