D70 picture counter?

I've had my D70 for a little over a year and want to see how many pictures ive taken. picture names are all messed up so i cant go by those..

is that anything ive mnissed while scouring the menus?

Take a shot. Download it to your computer. Look in the EXIF info for the picture. There's a count of the total number of exposures your camera has done in it.
