Hey guys

Picked up this nice piece of glass at a flea market not knowing if it'd be compatible with my D7000. It doesn't fit

Is there a way to add an adapter or something to get it working? Thanks!

It's different than the usual because it had an extra longer metal piece that sticks out. It is very similar to this:

He convinced me I could buy an adapter. He has a lot of other lenses I wanna buy but need to educate myself here.

Vivitar lenses like many other aftermarket lenses typically require a T-mount adapter that is threaded into the lens. The adapter will have the necessary fitting to attach to the camera. However your lens, which I have no personal experience with by the way, appears to have lugs. Perhaps it has a T-mount adapter already installed for something other than a Nikon. If that's the case you should be able to remove it by unscrewing the adapter from the lens and installing a suitable adapter for your Nikon. This link may be of interest to you:

I hope this helps. Good luck.
