What is the true MM mounting a Tokina 11-16mm 2.8 on my D7100?

Just wanted to double check, someone in another thread stated mounting a Tokina 11-16mm 2.8 on a D7100 = 18-24mm.

the field of view will be equivalent to a 17.5-24mm lens on a full frame camera body. Unless you are trying to make that comparison though, I would just call it what it is, an 11-16

Its true focal length is 11 to 16 mm.

The "equivalent" field of view on a 35mm film camera, or a FX / Full Frame DSLR, is 1.5:1, or 16.5 to 24mm

Note that the "equivalent" is only describing the field of view (ie zoom equivalence) and not the depth of field, because for depth of field it is still an 11 to 16 mm lens.
