Hello, I have been using a Nikon D800 and all the rubber grips on the camera body are peeling off. Has anyone else had this problem, Nikon quoted me £150+ to repair it, any suggestions would be welcome over that double sided tape.

The camera has only been used in the UK, so I can not imagine it is due to humidity or heat.

Guess it depends on your comfort zone of course, if you want a DIY repair you could use Loctite Plastics Bonding system:

Loctite® All Plastics Super Glue® (681925) - Instant / Super - Ace Hardware

Or perhaps an adhesive backed neoprene product of some sort, cut to fit.

I've also heard a bit about this product:

But haven't tried it myself.

The rubber came off my former D90, D300, and now, my D800. It's also coming off my battery grip.
On my D90, I glued it back on with Super Glue (I know, I know). I wouldn't do that to my D800.
I would order the replacement rubber with double sided tape, if you can.

I'd probably be a bit leery of doing something with glue involving an expensive FF camera myself, so yup.. why I prefaced it with "depending on your comfort level".. lol

You could try cleaning both surfaces REALLY well and using the 3M mounting tape that comes with the plastic window covering material. If it doesn't work it's easily reversible.

The epoxy suggestion would require a mechanical bond. Smooth plastic and rubber are both enemies of epoxy. Any kind of super glue runs the risk of leaving a white haze on rubber and plastic.

contact adhesive may work as well, just make sure the solvents won't dissolve the plastic or rubber.
