It is soft due to the shutter speed being too slow and aperture too wide

gsgary, probably true, but it's also a close crop which doesn't help. Otherwise, I think it's not a bad shot.


You are correct--I checked the EXIF file and I shot this with my 35mm f/1.8 at f/2.8, 1/30, ISO 200.

I need to crank up the shutter speed and dial down the aperture.
