Hi,

I broke out the old macro lens yesterday, and had a play around with various table lamps :) Here's the result, after a lot of experimenting

Details:
Nikon D70
Tamron 90mm f/2.8 macro
calumet tripod, pistol-grip head, cheapo macro rail (wobbly!)
3 clip-on table lamps
2 home-made flexi-clamps
1 sheet coloured card
1 tulip (very dead!)

f/38, 1sec exposure @ ISO 200

Hope you like :)

good idea. dead flowers can be the prettiest
i think the pink background is really distracting though. maybe a different color.
I want to be able to focus on the tulip.

aw its so pink i love it!! I like the texture a lot of the dead flower. Somehow you have it life with the pink background.

Hi,

Thanks for the comments :)

I understand what you mean, Hattie, but the pink colour is integral to what I was trying to say with the picture. I tried to contrast the dead flower with the vibrant, "alive" pink background - kinda like Simon said :D

Cheers,

Lee
