Hi all. I am currently deciding whether or not to consider the purchase of a fisheye lens. I was looking through some, and I noticed that Sigma offers some lenses that say "Diagonal", and some that do not. I believe all the diagonal ones I have seen have been full-frame..but what is the difference between the ones that say diagonal and the ones that do not?

Also, I was wondering if there is an optical or functional difference between the Sigma 10mm and Nikon 10.5mm? Given the option, I would go with the 10.5mm just because of the name alone, out of instinct, but just curious.

Also, what about the Tokina 10-17mm? Is that fisheye throught the entire range?

10.5 will give you the equivalent of 16mm on the d700, the tokina is a wide angle lens. If your looking for fisheye the 10.5 is the one to get. I can't comment on the sigma as I don't use one.

The Nikon 10.5 is a great lens if you want specifically want/need a fish-eye. I have one fish-eye in my collection and rarely use it.
