The other night, whilst fogged in for the 300 millionth time this month, I noticed the S/V lights up river a few hundred yards were doing odd stuff with the fog and a leafless tree. (There's a small port/marina there, and what with all the terrorists around southern New Jersey, they keep the lights on 24x7...) I walked up a couple dozen yards to get a better angle, and started taking some long exposures to find out what the camera saw. Unfortunately, the lights coalesced in to a rather indistinct blob after a while (10-15 seconds) so I couldn't do anything about them, and there didn't seem to be much of a difference between, say, 10 seconds at f/2.8 or 20 seconds at f/11. The air was very still, the river was at slack tide (almost no movement) so I got some eerie shots of the rocky bank too. Hope you enjoy.
