Hi i hv Canon AV 1 camera, aperture priority try to test some DOF shots using iso 400.

I hv just clue that using higher and lower aperture like 2.8 and 16 i will get higher and lower DOF, if i use f2.8 i do i get my subject sharp and background blurred?

my subject may be person and background might be trees and houses.

what changes i can see when i change my aperture to f/22 to same subject ?

Can u more explain me about DOF?
regards

The short answers to your questions are: at F2.8 the houses probably will be fuzzy, at F16 they'll probably be sharp- but that depends on how close or far away the subject is that you're focusing on and how far away the houses are from the subject.

Maybe you can get a handle on DOF by reading this:

As to what will happen if a scene like you're describing is shot at f2.8 and F22, try it- then you can actually see for yourself what happens.
