Once again, nice series! I especially like the ones of the elevated train (monorail???) tracks. The lines draw my eye to it.

The "monorail" is called People Mover.

Funny thing is Detroit is full of ghetto corners and people drive. The People Mover wasn't moving for 2 years because of some accident in construction, so it was the first days of re-operation. Kinda sad...

There were many things going on at the event, but I expected more people though.

Their "People Mover" looks pretty much identical to our "skytrain" in Vancouver.

I live in Windsor right across the water from Detriot. Most of the reason you didn't see too many people out at the Jazz fest is due to the recent rash of violence to rack the area in the past year. Like that one sign stated. I get US news here more than Canadian, and everytime I hear something new (which is practically every day) I cring. I think what really brought the violence into the limelight was the Fireworks Shootings this year. Great shots btw, you captured what goes on in Hart Plaza nicely.
