Since 1989 I've had several film holders in my freezer loaded with properly exposed 4x5 sheet film. I would like to get it developed. (I dont remember what type or speed it is, but its been kept in the freezer.)
Does anyone have any experience recently with getting such film developed? And where do I do it?
I'd prefer someone local to the Hartford CT area if possible...

Any ideas before this type of processing is gone forever?

I don't know about Hartford, but there are plenty of places in New York that still develop 4x5 sheet film. You can tell what type it is by the notch code, which can be felt in the dark when you pull back the darkslide a little and flip open the end of the holder. Google 'sheet film notch code' and look at the various online references.

It's best to send it to the lab in a sheet film box (I can send you some if you need them), but you can also send the loaded holders in.

Good luck,
Helen

not many labs do 4x5 now. :(

:grumpy: if it is b&w film then you can do the development yourself.
