What can I do in photoshop to improve this picture?? Also if you get a chance read the latest post in the "Dumpster" diving thread. It is really funny.

I would suggest taking out some of the splotchyness on the cheeks, but it's a cute kid and picture, looks like he has a hint mischieviousness

An easy way to improve this photo is by correcting the levels to the edges of the histogram.

You could also try using curves to bring some brightness into the very dark pieces of hair.

I can post some examples if you like.
