Digital Camera with Continuous Flash Strobe Effect?

Hi,

I'm in the market for a consumer-level digital camera with a continuous flash. Are there any will alternate flash / no-flash strobe-effect like pictures.

I'm not looking for top-of-the-line or anything, just something reasonable with a strobe-effect flash (if such a thing exists, I don't know).

Does anyone have any suggestions?

What effect are you trying to get...what final result are you looking for?

I don't know of any consumer level digital cameras that can continuously 'strobe' the flash. I do know that some of Canon's top end flash units (580EX & 430EX)...have a feature called high speed sync...which makes the flash act like a strobe light...but this feature is for shooting with a higher shutter speed (usually outdoors in bright light).

I think he's looking to make videos with a consumer camera. I would be virtually certain that none of them would do what he wants.

This is exactly what I am looking for. Now that I know the keyword is "strobe flash", I get a lot more relevant information to what I am looking for.
