Digital cut outs

I am trying to use Coralphotobook to cut an object out of one photo, to pull it into another... but using the mouse to trace the outside is not very accurate...

is there anyone who can suggest a better way?

There are lots of better ways, but probably not with that particular software that you are using. Adobe Photoshop CS2 would offer you the most choices for doing that sort of thing.

You can try using the eraser tool (I don't know this software, but I'm assuming that is has one), and erasing around the object you wish to cut out. If you make a mistake, just undo. The trick is to really take your time, and use a small brush for the fine details, and zoom in a lot. If it takes you 2+ hours, you probably did a good job
