Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Hey all,

I've just invested in a new D80 and I'm looking for ways to edit the photos I take. I use to work at a photo lab and was lucky enough to be taught how to use Photoshop to edit and restore photos.

I now have a Apple MacBook and wanted to know a bit more about Aperture 2. Is it more of a organising tool than an editing one? From what I understand Photoshop is still a better tool for editing and also gives you the ability to get quite creative with your photos but Aperture is more basic as you can make basic adjustments but you can't really get too creative with it?

Any feedback would be GREATLY appreciated.

Cheers :)

From what I understand, Aperture 2 is similar to Lightroom 2...they are both cataloging tools that can do some editing. Photoshop CS4 is the heavy duty editing tool.

I would go with photoshop, mainly because I know basicly how to use it. (same with you...you just know more)

Also, photoshop has a lot of extra software that you can add to it, im not so sure about aperture.
