Digital out of action, relegated to film while it gets repaired.

Well, might be a while before I post anything new. My 300D has just gone in to Canon for repair to address my hot pixel probelm. They've told me to expect a four week turn around (not too happy about that).

Guess I'll put the film body in the bag for a while :cry:

That's what I've done. The old 20D is in the shop for autofocus. I love film.

The glory of digital. I have to buy a new camera evey year if they last that long.

I just posted this where someone asked what damage have you done?

I messed up a digital by dropping it 4' onto the kitchen floor. Had to toss it (actually sold it and all cords etc on ebay for parts)
In 1986 I droped a Yashica FX3Super with long telephoto lens same 4' distance. I retrieved all the parts, lens and body pieces. The repair shop said beyond repair but I epoxied it back together and still use it today. yes I am sold on mechanical SLR over digital!
