Disinterested Atheist reflects on Holiday Spirit

However crappy all religions - and their followers - are at some times, around the end of the year there seems to be a concerted effort by most people (at least those in the Western world) to drop that shield of unpleasant defensiveness for a bit and admit to being human.

I have received in my life a good number of gifts of all types, given in good spirit, and I treasure them for the spirit in which they were given no matter what they were.

During the past week I have sent out a good many PMs to people asking them to join in a 'Secret Santa' list to give a gift of one of their images to another person and I am surprised at the number of people who have said their work isn't good enough to give. If you are here, you are good enough to participate in a good-will gesture.

I will close the sign-up list after Thanksgiving Sunday, December 1st - at 8 PM

I will use a random number generator to order two copies of the list( one for givers and one for recipients) and thus each person will be giving a gift of a printable jpeg to one person and receiving a similar gift from another.
