Do you take note cards in the field?

I collect and scan in great poses from the web and magazines. I then print a thumbnail guide to take with me on a shoot. (I may advance e-mail this thumbnail pose gallery to the model for her to look at and choose poses before the shoot too). Having a collection of gorgeous poses is great for the model to see on location so she knows how to copy the look...and its great for me too to be able to see the elements of the great pose, the lens used, the angles etc. This keeps both the model and me from going absolutely brain dead after doing 10 poses in our sessions. I have begun memorizing the characteristics of good poses...but I still forget in the pressure of the shoot sometimes. The models really love this...because it makes life a lot easier for them too to pick a great pose and we will try to duplicate it together!

I've got a little notebook I use. No matter how experienced people are I feel it always helps.
