not sure if it's my eyes, my monitor or the lighting in the photo, but does anybody else see that the rope looks blurry or soft?

the texture is nice, and the rope leads the eye around, but it doesn't really lead me to any focal point.

I wish I could re-shoot this pilon is on the U.S.S Bramble it is a ice breaking ship in Mishigan I live in Fl.
