Does Nikon`s Auto Distortion Correction support other manufactures lenses?

Hi.

I was thinking of getting an Sigma 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 dc os hsm lens for my D7100 and wondered if the built in distortion correction supported it, I know i can do the correction in Photoshop but Auto jpeg correction would be handy and save a lot of time.

it does on my d7100 for my tokina 11-16. But not for my sigma 50-150.

So Nikon does support third-part lenses, but apart from your tokina 11-16 we don't know the other lenses, it`s strange though Nikon do show a list of supported lenses but they are all Nikon.

weird how the (newer version with focus motor) tokina 11-16 is supported but older tokina 50-135 was not. i sold the tokina 50-135 and got the newer sigma 50-150 (newest version) thinking auto distortion control would work with it, but no.

i like to get as much right in camera as possible too.

When shooting with my 105/2.8D Micro, the EXIF data states it that lens, or the Siggy 105/2.8.
