Does the Canon 100mm Macro lens fit a Canon 1000D?

I'm looking at buying a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 L IS USM Macro Lens
and I was wondering if it will fit my cameras.

I have a Canon 1000D which I am most concerned about - will the lens fit?!
Also have a Canon 7D - I presume it would fit that as it is a newer model and they say a lot of lens fit it.

I did a bit of 'googling' and found that The 7D and any of the Rebel series can use either the EF or EF-S series lenses.

So just confirming that, really.

Yes.

Any EF or EF-S lens will fit that camera. FD lenses will not. EF-S lenses will not fit film or full frame DSLRs though - so that's something to keep in mind if you think you'll ever get a full frame body...
