Downy WoodPecker & Nuthatch

I really like the first; too bad you cut off the rectricies!

Good job

Very nice indeed. Those are both "Twitchy" species and it's relatively hard to get them to stand still long enough for a decent shot. Nicely done.

Very nice.

We had a Downy woodpecker feeding out of my boyfriends hand. I told him I had never seen that.

Question, do nuthatches always have brown on them? I have some birds that look just like that around here, but without the brown.

Thanks for the nice comments. Getting use to the sigma Glass but so far I really like it.

The 150-500 does take some getting accustomed to. In low light (low as in dawn or heavy cloudy) it doesn't show nearly as much contrast. Give it plenty of light and stop it down to about f/8 and it works great. It does have pretty good reach and sharpness so I've been real pleased with mine.

Great shot, like 1 the best. Never could get one of them. Between them twitchin and me twitchin
