Oh I wasn't in the rain just the bird was. I did get caught in a heavy down pour once with minimal protection for the camera a Canon 7D ll. It got wet and quit working. The next day it had dried out and was working again. Tough camera.

I appreciate your honesty - regularly shoot in the rain My Sony a9 and Sony 600mm are rainproof and I usually get wet though too
