Dual Dell U221h Calibration Brightness Question

Hi All,
I have a pair of Dell U2211h's that are calibrated with the xrite i1. The problem I have is that the monitors -- when set to the calibrated setttings -- are not as bright as I'd like them to be. I checked the calibration and it's "fine". But for everyday viewing (e.g. when I'm not doing photo work), it's just too dim.

I don't want to tinker with calibrated settings -- has anyone else had this issue -- in general -- I just gave my monitors as a reference.
