Were these in the wild or in captivity? And, what lens/set-up/settings did you use for these? They are absolutely spectacular! The second one especially.

These where taken at the Hawk Conservancy Trust (so not Wild!) which is a charity working in conservation, research, education and rehabilitation of Birds of Prey.


The shots where taken using a Canon 40D with my Sigma 70-200mm (all shot at 200mm)
1. f/8 1/400
2. f/8 1/640


The Golden eagles where both f/7.1 1/1000


The ISO in all cases would have been 200 (the lowest I can go with highlight priority mode turned on)
