Wow. Did you enhance the colors at all in PS or was the sky really that color?

That was it- the processing I did was to try to get rid of some of the noise.

Cool picture.

29 Stumps huh? Man does that bring up some memories.

Thanks- But that don't sound good ;)

... I try to stay away from all the ~people~ stuff. Keeps me loving it.

Beyond the colour, the shape and texture give this shot tremendous impact.

Great photo!

Thanks Skieur.

stunning shot....as skiuer said, once you get past the initial impact of the colour, the formation and texture are excellent.

Thank you Roger.

It's a shot I keep running across in going through my junk. I have no particular use for it, and almost didn't shoot it, and the noise drives me batty. I had to do something with it though. Glad you all like it :)

Another good one, abraxas!! Which '29 Palms' was it? I haven't been to 29 Palms Calf. in a lot of years, but I remember it flatter than that :)

Thank you. The same, in California. Some memories can be a bit deceptive like that. The hill is pretty much in the center of town too, between the Rancho Dolores Motel and the Rib Co. (or Carousel Restaurant) on the other side along Hwy. 62.

Here's a picture of the hill from the ridge trail to 49 Palms Oasis.

The hill is the first hill in about the center of the picture.

Thanks for the memory refresher: the shot in your link brings it back a lot clearer now.
