eBay seller sells $26,000 in a safe - for $122.93

I don't know who is a bigger idiot. Someone who would sell a locked safe (who know's what is inside), or the buyer who admitted what he found...

That could buy a lot of camera equipment...

Husband: "Babe, do you remember where I left that 26 grand?"

Wife: "I think I put it in that old safe."

Next day......

Officer: "Sir. when was the last time you seen or spoke to your wife?"

Husband: "Shrugs shoulders"

Per the buyer's feedback:

bought locked safe opened it and found $6,000.00 dollars in bills

Seller has not left feedback on the transaction.

I smell fish.

That would be soul crushing if you were the seller.

Buddy of mine had $5000 gambling money hidden in his boots, wife cleaned out his closet went from curbside to the city dump to bye bye

That's why you don't keep cash in weird places.

Or at least don't put it inside of something you know your wife has been itching to throw away like old dirty boots.

What happened to being creative when hiding your illegal cash and paraphernalia? Walls, floorboards, in safes behind pictures, etc? :D

True. This guy drops $10,000 in a weekend at the casino and doesn't even bat an eye. I lose $500 on a football game and go nuts

I think they're both idiots. And I wanna know... did the guy REALLY find anything in the safe? I can SAY I found a million bucks inside a camera bag I purchased, but... And the guy who sold it. REALLY??? YOU REALLY bought a safe and didn't have it opened?? WOW.

MLeeK... that was my bag, I want half. lol

I'm sure the seller who probably picked this up in some sale would have looked to give half the money to the original safe owner..... NOT!! He got what he wanted with minimal effort when he sold the safe.

But it does sound like a fishy story.

That would be amazing... Falsely claiming that you found $26k in a safe would have to be the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Congrats, now you have to pay taxes and lawyer expenses to keep your own money... high five!
