Eclipse

It was a terrible disappointment today that the weather was overcast for the eclipse. I wanted to drive to southern Illinois but I just couldn't put the trip together in time. Despite the clouds, I was able to drive a bit south which let me find some broken and thinner clouds to contend with. The eclipse peaked at about 83% up here, so I got what I could. The next eclipse is April 8th, 2024. I will be more prepared for that one!

The first image on the right is about 30 minutes into the eclipse and the image on the left was at the peak. The middle image was about half way through, but with the varying clouds, I wasn't able to get a consistently timed set of images...

70-200 f/2.8 at various apertures and shutter speeds dependant on the vatying cloud cover. I also used a 9 stop solar filter.
