Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Whats the difference between (other than the price):

Zoom Telephoto EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 EF IS Image Stabilizer USM Autofocus Lens

Zoom Telephoto EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 III USM Autofocus Lens

the one with image stabilizer cancels some shake so you can use slower shutter speeds without getting blury images. it isnt magic though you could probubly get 30th or 15th depending on how steady you are.

i don't know what the cheaper one is but if it's the III USM one then i'd get that as with a 300mm lens i can't imagine you not using a tri or monopod. if you use a tri or monopod then an image stabiliser is not much point in having

the point of the image stabalizer is that you can use it handheld.

yeah but my guess is that it won't be effective with such a long focal length. i wouldn't trust it though i haven't tried it...

there's a thought, is there anywhere you can try before you buy (not just in the shop) with lenses and other things? or am i just dreaming?

The baseball photos I posted other day are hand held, all where shot with the 70-200 IS, also have a 2x that I use with the lens, the only problem is it get heavy fast
