EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM vs. EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM

I have EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM. Is it worth upgrade with one of these? Is there any difference? What is the gauge for?

I have an EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM it will never be replaced or upgraded! I love it on my 7D. In fact it's the reason I kept my 7D after I upgraded to a 6D. The 7D/15-85 combo makes the greatest walk-around. Granted that is all personal opinion but it is what it is.

I have one and it's the best general use lens IMO before you go to the L-series range. The focal range is very good, but has a bit of barrel distortion at wide angles which isn't really good unless you like that.. forun
