EF-S 18-55 IS broken

hi my starter lens EF-S 18-55 IS, is broken, the auto focus is broken, i only can use it with manual focus.
does anyone know if this can be repared? if not, should i buy a new one?

Send it into Canon if you really LOVED the lens. Many people will agree that it's not that great a lens though. A similar lens, albeit a bit more expensive, is the Tamron 17-50mm F/2.8 Non VC lens.

Probably more cost effective to just replace this, I sold a perfect one recently for 70 euro, I dont think any repair on a lens would be so little
