So the focus ring on my 70-300MM VR is sticky, you have to turn it, back it up, and turn it to get it passed a certain point. Is there anything one can do to free it up? Is there a guide anywhere to how to disassemble a lens? Or any way to clean the ring without removing it? I don't have the time/money to send it back to Nikon to have them fix it, if they even will.
Question for anyone with this lens, when you run the focus ring from ∞ - 1.5M does it tend to stick anywhere? Or go passed the 1.5M or ∞? Or it is smooth, stopping exactly on either 1.5M or ∞?
