Consider allowing your images to be edited.
It is much easier to show than to tell when talking about colors, etc.

Will have a look at allowing them to be edited
I am not adverse to them being tinkered with I havnt ticked a box somewhere will have a look and rectify

The spirit of the 40's comes across well - although no ration books in sight.
I do think her large-ish arm so prominently displayed takes away from the faces and the umbrella seems to be the most in focus element.

I would:
remove the space from the top right to put the faces more in the power points
desaturate slightly (IMO, oversaturated)
remove the yellow in favor of blue
warm overall
increase contrast slightly

OP, nice. the color matches the 1940's theme. Reminds me of 1940's chromes.

Traveler's version is over processed. Just burn in the umbrella and keep the 40's look. Traveler even made the umbrella worse...terrible. If you dislike the arm, burn it in some.

HoHo I tried to get a spitfire, union jack and a boy with rickets in the shot but I couldnt get them all together in time as they passed by in the jeep
Your points are interesting
1) this removes the bunting which IMO gives it a more 40's effect but a worthy point
2)3) Personal preferances
4) needed when 2 and 3 have been done
5) Possably I have to juggle around with contrast alot in pp its always, is that right or is that right

Thankyou for spending your time looking and giving me food for thought

It's always personal preference that should triumph and, whatever the artist wants is right.
(I did miss the Union Jack, Spitfire and kid with rickets, tho.:blushing:)
