Pre-dating public parks as places of public recreation are England's village greens. This is an unusual one, by the sea, at Lytham, Lancashire, and features a windmill of 1805 and a former lifeboat house of 1863. The first glimpse of sun for a number of days brought people out in the late afternoon to enjoy its charms.

What a title.
Now what a title!?!?

I MUST come take a look, with this word in the title!

And then, what do I see at first?
Just orangey-pink!

Ah, and there it comes: the village green.

Your compositions always blow me over, Tony.
Always.

Thanks for the kind comments. It's surprising this shot turned out OK - for some reason the camera was at f10, and the speed therefore dropped to 1/125 so with the long zoom at 268mm (35mm equiv) it should have been blurred. Maybe that extra glass of wine steadied my hand!!

Regards, Tony

See: all speaks in favour of an extra glass of wine! :drunk:

Cheers, Tony!
