Enlargement question

I have a 6mp D50 and was wondering if anyone has experience blowning up a photo taken from this or a similar camera. The original photo size was about 4 inches by 10 inches. On photoshop I enlarged it to 10.5"x31". I was wondering if anyone has done something similar and how the final printout looked? I want to Hang the photo above my bed so the viewing distance will be pretty close, anywhere from 1-4 feet. I have enlarged single shots to 13x19 and they look great but 31 inches is alot wider then 19...obviously.

I've blown up to 30x40 with my D70 (6 MP). They turned out sharp and awesome!

Here's a few 20x28s... they are extremely sharp even close up. I don't enlarge in photoshop... I let the lab take care of that.
