actually, DO forget about pentax... but SONY on the other hand, they have a very nice amature dslr wich i think is being discontinued soon so you could watch for a price drop possibly soon. and by the way, just kidding about the pentax thing, lol, my decision on which camera to get was between the sony alpha, and the pentax k10d

oh and larger LCD doesn't always mean good. first it drains more battery, and when you are outside its just more space on your camera that you cant see.

oh and as far as the nikon kit lens outperforming the canon kit lens :lmao:

now lets compare the Canon 50mm 1.8 on the XTi to the nikon 50mm 1.8 on the Nikon D40X, espeically when it comes to autofocus speed and accuracy. :lmao:

hmm, i know nothing of kit lenses. never used any.

i think one can only judge nikon and canon kit lenses comparatively if one has been using both of them for some time. which I doubt many of you have
