Well... someone just posted on the local Craigslist an ad for an RB67 and M645, both for...

...$250. :D

The man's wife passed away, so he is selling her photo equipment. It's sad that it had to go under those circumstances... but when I buy it tomorrow, I think he'll know it's in good hands. What luck.

Couldn't go to a nicer kid than you Alex!

Good deal -- let us see the goodies after you get them home. :)

Yeah, I read the guys story kinda through his facebook updates... really sad. He can't sleep, is breaking down in public everywhere at the thought of her. His dreams are all haunted. I feel so bad for the poor fella.

I thought when I go pick it up I'll throw in an extra 20 for dinner and a movie for him, something to get his mind off the pain for a little while. Seems like a nice guy.

Anyway, I will make sure to get some nice HQ pics of it when I get my hands on em.

Hmmm... got the goods. Already run into a problem though.

I can't get the shutter speed dial to turn on the M645 1000S. I know these bodies have a bunch of tricks to them, so maybe someone could provide some insight?

Push in on the center of the dial while you rotate the outer portion to the desired speed.

Never mind! There's a button on the center of the dial you have to push. I'm an idiot.

Here's the 645

And here's the RB

You got yer'self a nice set of dumbbells there!!!

Thanks guys!

The M645 was not too hard to learn my way around. However, the RB is a whole different beast. I'm still learning its features so I held off on putting film in it yet... but I couldn't help myself so I loaded some Portra 400 into the M645 :-P

The RB is actually a little rough too. It was obviously her work camera. Everything functions as far as I can tell, but it isn't the cleanest rig out there. I already put the 220 back and instant film back on eBay so I can opt for a 120 back and maybe a new pop up finder for the RB. The one it has is a little rough.

Overall though, good deal and I can't wait to see some negatives.
