the temp was about -5 (about -8 in the fog)

Very nice pic...love the fog. You've exposed well here.

Duncanp means to say 'blown' out whites; they don't appear blown on my monitor which is calibrated. Blown out means they appear pure white with no apparent detail.
 
Great capture, the exposure looks fine on my monitor aswell.
 
My kind of image! :thumbup: I'd like just a little cropped off along the bottom, but that is my only nitpick. Beautiful shot - grainy, full of texture - and a lovely desolate area. What fun! :D

None of the whites are blown on my monitor either. Looks great. What equipment did you use?

fuji finepix s5500 4mp shot in raw converted to b&w in photoshop cropped the top of the orginal image and used the auto levels function

its the first time i have used photoshop
