Kodak Technical Pan & Acutol. (it was Acutol..? )
Almost grainless.

Unlikely combination I know, but gives you medium format resolution at 35mm.

At medium format..... buckle on your infinity belt.

Downside - using a focus-finder makes almost no difference at usual enlargement sizes.

The other downside is that Tech Pan doesn't have good enough gradation for general photography.

Tech Pan had great gradation. What were you developing it in?

Any 4x5 film in generic phenidone developer. I have Pan F, FP4, HP5, and Tri-X stocked right now. The grain is invisible even with the ISO 400 at 16"x20", which is as large as I'm printing in my darkroom these days.

Accufine. Too contrasty for Tech Pan?

I have never used Accufine with Tech Pan but I would figure that it is too contrasty.

This is Tech Pan developed in Technidol.

Oh, how I miss that film.

You'd think it would be contrasty, but you use a greater dilution, and a much longer time - and expose at 50ASA. The result is surprising.

1/20, if i remember. One inversion every minute after the first 30 seconds.

For....

13 minutes for condenser
15 minutes for diffuser??

And it was Acutol.
