WoW! I've never known anyone to use 13 shots. Nine is the most I've ever done.

I like the color saturation.

It borders on the surreal.

I don't think there's anything 'wrong' with it. It really depends on if this is the image you're after.

To me, it's more like a painting or pop-art drawing. If that's what you were aiming for, you succeeded. If you wanted more towards an accurate representation of what the human eye/brain sees, then it's overdone.

OK, I'll indulge you. Agree with sparky, it has a cool pop art kinda look to it.

I like the perspective and symmetry.

Again though I'd have a bit more contrast in the picture...just a wee bit, to enhance the perspective, shadow etc.

a little too surreal for my taste but it's not bad

i like the sky the most but it kinda seems like it is too lit up compared to the foreground

Okay, I will add my 0.02¢ worth. Like sparky said, I don't know that I have ever seen anyone use 13 images, but that's up to you - whatever floats your boat, so to speak - is it my imagination, but do some of them look redundant - what I see is a group of 7 images followed by a group of 6 images, either group could probably be used for an HDR image by themselves. Personally, I am not really into this "overcooked" HDR, but having said that, it is, like so many other things in photography, an art form and all that really counts in the end is whether or not you like it and if you do, then you have achieved your goal. Compositionally, it is also quite good - symmetry and the use of lines to move people's eyes throught the image to the palm tree for concentration and the sky is reasonably well- done, but as I said a little too surreal for me, but that is just me and my tastes are different from yours.

Out of curiosity, I would also like to know what software you used for this and did you do any post-HDR processing?

Cheers,

WesternGuy

Thanks this was actually the look I was going after god honest truth.
I am very satisfied how it came out the only think I would consider is reducing the saturation the sky a hair
because I want to retain the vibrancy of the image.

Software used:
Photomatix Pro 4.02 X64bit
Photoshop CS5 X64
Nik Tools
Topaz Tools
OnOne tools
Noiseware Pro
Portraiture Pro

Everything after Photomatix has been masking layers with different opacity percentages.

The reason I used more images is to have better control in areas of the image should I need it
help's alot with noise and halo controls though I am not claiming I am perfect because sometimes
I have missed a few things in my workings but hey we learn from our mistakes & leads us to
keep pushing on. Thanks everyone

I like it a lot, love the colors.

The image itself is cool, I'm just not a huge fan of that in-your-face-HDR-look. I think it would've been really good if you just stripped in a correctly exposed sky.
