First attempt at a Lightning storm

Had a great but short lived lightning storm last night and I thought I would share my results.

Sorry about the landscape but all the pics were taken from my balcony while I cowered inside.

Please if anyone has any hints or tips for capturing lightning please share as i would love to get better.

All I've heard is bulb exposure, 400 ISO, f/11, focused to infinity, remote shutter, tripod, and plan ahead keeping it in the direction of the lightning clouds
 
For a first attempt that is fantastic! I personally think #4 is the best, the foreground is nicely lit, not too much to take you eye away from the lightning, but enough so it is not a silhouette. Good job! :thumbup:
