Thanks Mohain, Polygon, Diamond, and Danalec99! It's nice to know I'm not the only one addicted to this thing called DOF - I never knew what I was missing out on this whole time. It's amazing what colors the camera can create when you use such a short DOF. All the sudden the background just fills up with color. Fascinating.... addicting.....

Thank you Hoosier4000 (welcome to TPF by the way), AIRIC, Ozzono, & Rob! I appreciate your enthusiasm for my recently accquired "new best friend" (the D50).... My dad just picked me up some lens accesories at a garage sale (of all things) that will allow be to do macro shots.... I've got my game face on now... time to play!
